We’re on the lookout for a Part-Time Social Media & Marketing Assistant to help manage content, engagement, and strategy for both Octopod and our clients.
If you’re passionate about social media, love getting creative, and enjoy keeping things organised behind the scenes, this could be the perfect role for you!
The Role
This is a hybrid position, meaning you can split your time between working remotely and at our studio in Newport, South Wales. But if you prefer to be in the office each day we totally support that!
We believe in flexibility, so while the role is 16 hours per week, there’s room to grow your hours as the business expands.
As a key part of our team, you’ll be involved in both social media marketing for Octopod and our clients, and business operations, making this a varied and hands-on role where no two days look the same.
Hybrid role – mix of remote and studio-based work
Part-time – 16 hours per week (flexible), with the potential to increase
Pay: £23,000 per annum (Pro-rata)
Equipment: We’ll provide a laptop and any essential equipment you need to do your best work
What to Expect in This Role
As our Social Media & Marketing Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of Octopod’s content and marketing strategy, working across a range of industries - from creative brands and local businesses to larger companies looking to make an impact online.
You’ll work closely with the studio team and clients, helping to create, schedule, and manage social media content, as well as keeping on top of community engagement.
You’ll also play a key role in tracking performance, refining strategies, and supporting business operations to ensure everything runs smoothly.
This is an opportunity to get hands-on experience in a fast-paced, creative environment, where you’ll be working directly with brands to shape their online presence while growing your own skills in social media strategy, content creation, and digital marketing.
